Messed up Ubuntu Install

Silly me.  I was very very excited to see / read some wiki regarding Karmic Koala.  I read some parts and checked on the "hot to install Java (to play video streams)."  I got excited!  Alas, I thought, finally I have found what may be the solution to my problems.

I tried installing the most recent mozilla firefox (that's 3.6), as it says. Well, just figured it out.

After installing, I reboot my system.  Dang. Crash!No, it won't push through to Ubuntu anymore.  What did I do!?

This is not good. Really. I need to call for help.
